This isn’t to say that Tammie’s life has always been idyllic. In her early years, Tammie endured emotional, physical and sexual abuse.

Tammie took refuge in music. Music became a centerpiece of Tammie’s life. She spent her early years singing in her local church, played bass guitar at the age of eleven (11) to then began playing the piano. As a teenager, Tammie entered a singing contest and won where she was discovered and toured as the opening act for Percy Sledge, best known for his number 1 hit, “When a man loves a woman”, always accompanied by her mother.

After her mom passed away, Tammie was so stricken with grief, she gave up singing and focused on raising her daughters, starting and building her business.

In 2013, Shannon was in an accident that required surgery.  The intubation process damaged her right vocal cord and left it paralyzed.  It took a year to regain full use of her voice.  The near loss of her vocal gifts and a life changing conversation with her daughter put music back at the center of her life.  When asked, Tammie stated “I was afraid I’d never sing again, so, I prayed and told God, if he would heal me and give my voice back, I would use it.” And use it, she has! Tammie has become “the voice” of many bullied and abused victims everywhere.

In 2016, Tammie wrote and performed the single, “Bent”, a tribute to veterans struggling from PTSD.

In 2018, she teamed up with, Grammy nominated producer and friend, Kent Wells as she shares life’s story about abuse, survival and triumph in her debut album “All Of Me” with proceeds going to support the emotional, behavioral and physical health of victims during the “me too” movement where Tammie’s album received two nominations, “Best Original Blues Album” and “Album of the Year”.
